As the transfer window comes in, the middle of the season progresses, which allows the teams to make their squad stronger. Players coming in the middle of the season have impacted and helped the team from dangerous situations. The Transfer window also allows the team to sell some of their players who are not performing as expected. There are situations when the manager fails to deliver the task, and teams have forced the manager to resign. This allows the team to get a new manager. Many instances have proved the change worthy. Let us look at a few managers who changed the club when they joined midseason.
Roberto Mancini
After City sacked Mark Hughes in the middle of the season, it made way for Mancini to take over. This raised questions about the appointment of a foreign manager without the experience of the Premier League. Mancini slowly developed City from a mid-table team to challengers of the league. His first entire season, he helped City win the FA Cup in the following season. FA Cup win put an end to their trophyless 35 years. City made a strong start and won the Premier League the following season. The difference was only eight goals between them, and the 2nd placed local rivals Man United. This was their Premier League trophy in 47 years.
Zinedine Zidane
Zidane was a former Real Madrid player. He also was an assistant manager here. Madrid called him in January 2016 to take charge of the team. He made a few changes in the tactics, which were beneficial to the team. He helped them perform well in all competitions and seriously challenged the league and European titles. Somehow they finished 1 point behind the champions Barcelona in the league but made an exciting run in the UCL. They played their local rivals, A. Madrid, in the UCL finals. The match was headed to penalties which resulted in favour of Real Madrid and made them the European champions for the 11th time. Zidane made a unique record in modern football in the following seasons by winning the UCL two more times back to back. He also helped Madrid win La Liga in the 16-17 season.
Thomas Tuchel
Tuchel had a disappointing end to his 19-20 season with PSG when he lost the UCL finals against Munich. And in the following season, he joined the English side Chelsea when they sacked their club legend, Lampard, from the managerial role. Tuchel took charge of Chelsea when they were in the 8th position of the league. However, the club made transfers worth £200 million in the early season, which helped Tuchel. He managed to finish the season by ending in the 4th spot of the league. In UCL, he made a good impact and guided the club to their 2nd UCL by defeating the English champions Man City in the FInals. It was a dream season for Tuchel as he could lift Chelsea quickly. After losing a UCL final in the previous season to winning the competition in the following season, Tuchel showed how good a coach he is.
