Easy for Bayern Munich

In Champions League history, Robert Lewandowski scored the fastest hat-trick as Bayern Munich beat Red Bull Salzburg 7-1 to advance to the quarter-finals. Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick in the first 23 minutes to help Bayern Munich beat Red Bull Salzburg to reach the Champions League quarter-finals.

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski led his clubs to a 7-1 victory over Austrian champions. RB Salzburg scored his first goal in the 12th minutes of the first half as Bayern Monaco reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich beat RB Salzburg 7-1 at the Allianz Arena to advance to the quarter-finals thanks to an exceptional first-half hat-trick from talisman Robert Lewandowski and other scorers like Gnabry, Muller and Sane.

There was a lot of talk about Bayern Munich’s defensive vulnerability after they only drew the first leg final in Austria. Bayern Munich appreciated Kingsley Coman’s last-minute equaliser when the two teams met in Austria last month. Still, any thought of another melee quickly vanished after Nicolas Capaldo squandered the opportunity. As a result, Salzburg striker Nicolas Capaldo got his first chance in two minutes. It only took a few miraculous saves for Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to keep Austrian champions RB Salzburg at bay.

RB Salzburg Austrian teenage champion Maurits Kiergaard scored in the 70th minute but didn’t slow down the Bayern Munich attack as Thomas Muller attacked at the other end. Thomas Muller scored early in the second half with an assist from Leroy Sané, after which Maurits Kiergaard managed to deflect Salzburg’s assist with a powerful shot that beat Manuel Neuer at the near post. Red Bull Salzburg shot once with 20 minutes left in the game;
